All of our materials are carefully selected based on resilience, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact. Since 2007, we have pioneered the use of post-consumer waste in our bags made of recycled plastic bottles (I Used To Be A Plastic Bottle®). Today, rPET and other recycled materials, such as recycled cotton, make up more than 50% of the materials in our reusable bag collections. Additionally, we are increasing our range of sustainable natural fibers — including our latest introduction, washable paper, which endures the test of time and washing. More options are continuously being added, as we are always searching and testing new renewable materials that deliver improved environmental profiles.
Traditional materials, including woven and nonwoven polypropylene and polyethylene (all with or without lamination), are also available.
